Messages of Brad Wilcox and Toni Leviste
1. What is the
intended message of Brad Wilcox to his readers in his article, “Why Write it”?
It is always an important option to start journal writing since it
tracks your relatable memories, improve one's self and changes the discovery of
future generations. Well, I must say that blogs are popular nowadays because it
publishes memories and experiences in a most comfortable medium thus,
communicates with people throughout the world.
2. Which lines were
striking to you? Why? Which lines disturbed you? Why?
Striking
‘You often need to write in order to have anything to say.’
In
order for a person to write something, he must practice writing. This will
enhance his grammar and organization of thoughts from time to time.
‘His or her experiences and feelings are valuable and are worth
recording so they are not lost.’
I approve the latter, yes. Using journal
writing, we can’t just express our real self but we record our own story so
that it can be read by our next family generations and give importance to the
past (our lives back then).
Disturbing
‘When the Spirit confirms the words that come out of your
own mouth, it’s really powerful!’ This is quite disturbing since literally, I
do not know which spirit is the text talk about. However, I came back to my
real self when I read the line. Our words are really powerful; we need to be
always careful when dictating it.
‘My journal gives me a chance to discover things about myself I didn’t
even know were there. As I write, I can figure out who I really am.’
I mean- wow.
You can see your true self through your lines out of the blank paper you wrote
your expressions into.
‘It follows naturally that if we are expected to write such experiences,
we will become more aware of them in our lives.’
It is quite disturbing that
while you wrote your experiences, you also became aware of your wrongdoings. I
just realized it.
3. What does Toni
Leviste want to tell his readers?
Our interests tell us who we are as a person, as humans engaging our
values to the world. We must follow those things that make us feel free and
alive. Our passion, what we love, we must live for it so that we can be
appreciated not only by people around us but also the person within our inner
self.
