Day 2: Reflection

I thought that acquiring the difference between academic and non-academic texts are not essential to writing since I am a creative freelancer writer myself so it doesn't matter on what kind of text I'm writing or what genre it beholds as long as I can freely write what I want. But the thing is opposite, since academic texts in contrast with the non-academic one, have different adequate purpose. I also thought that annotating or commenting the text isn't considered as a reading strategy but the real thing is opposite. 

I learned the significant difference between academic text and non-academic one. Moreover, I also learn the different hedging expressions in terms of connecting the phrases of the text. I became aware with the probability adjectives and the three main strategies of reading: pre-reading, during and after.
