Day 4: Reflection

I thought that journals and blogs can be reliable sources, however, they are not. These sites are considered accounts of opinions by different people may it be from across the globe. The posts of these sites can be informal, unlike those written publications that solely prefer professionalism. I also thought that there are two formats that can be preferred in citing sources of researches: APA and MLA but there are more. Common of these formats added from the two are LEEE, AMA and Chicago Style.

I learned that if one uses an information obtained from others, he must cite the source of it carefully. There are cases that media quoted posts are not cited properly when crediting its author that's why people must be duly informed about this form of 'uncategorized plagiarism'. I was taught about the difference between different known formats in citing sources; that is,

1. APA - Most Common and Formal Citation ; Known in its "Date-Name Format"
2. MLA - Arts and Literature Usage
3. LEEE - Used for Engineering Purposes
4. AMA - Used in Medicine Field
5. Chicago Style - Used as Reference for Newspapers, Journals and Magazine
