Day 6: Reflection

I thought that abstract and summary doesn't have similarities but they aren't. They have similarities in terms that in doing abstract, you must summarize the whole book of a text. The different sections of the main research for example, are summarized each and then combined, finally. Thus, abstract is somehow similar to summary. I didn't know what is precis at first but finally, I became knowledgeable of it. I also thought that in summarizing, it is alright to not state the citation but it is not. Citation is important especially in conducting abstracts.

I learned that precis is a shortened text, also similar to summary but is much shortened. I learned the difference of three: abstract, summary and precis much furthermore. I learned that in summarizing, doing precis and making abstracts; efficiency, cohesiveness, connection and transition of key ideas from the original text must be represented.
