Difficulty Experienced by the Students in Citing Essay

Citing sources is not an easy task. You should consider even a piece of information crucial to its real origin. The things that you express and write have an expecting value to your viewers and if mistaken wrongly, will damage your reputation accordingly. Therefore, as a writer, one must measure his words. Every letter is significant to your whole publication. Citing sources can help you with this situation. Citing is giving credits to the original owner of a text you are gathering facts from. If you know how to cite, you also know where to find the correct sources for your own text. 

Students are the common victims of citing difficulties since they are prone to researches and creating their own writing materials. They have also more access to social media than adults. As a result, they create written posts via their social accounts to emphasize their lives publicly.  Their written posts are often symbolized through quotes, report and argumentations that are accordingly, at times, not cited in a most efficient manner. The information that the students usually got are obtained from other sources, may it have the latter's credits visible or not. The written posts or may it be researches created by the students are where most of uncited or unproperly cited sources are evident. The viewers of the text itself (professors, panelist, social media users) can observe through the author's viewpoint if the text meets their expectations, and if it is truly created or not. The difficulty in citing is met at the fact that a student wants to originally credit the text to him so that he can gain high worth of engagement from audience and achieve the society's expectations of him. In result, students attempt more to prove the excellence of their work. In a situation like this, they encounter a decrease of work's credibility because of creativity pressure. They tend to get information from others or either copy it without indicating where it came from and credit it as theirs, at final. Things will caught at its peak's worse as viewers will found out at the act.

It is worth to remember, as students, that citing musn't be mistreated. Citing is vital to the students' productivity. All evens of life would be ruined in a blink from mere unproper citation. So first and foremost, in doing researches or written posts like sort of, know the source. The origin of some media wars are because of plagiarised materials. One must know that you can copy, but you cannot own. Meaning, if you tend to get information from sources, you must cite its owners. Also, a student must get information from liable resources. Thereof, the material would be more potent. Blogs aren't the most critical option to get facts.

Lies, these aren't supposed to mix with what people must have knowledge of. Students must especially get the fact that the truth shall be committed in every event. We, as people, can't accept it if we are lied to, right? That's the same in taking the right knowledge. Citing is the form where lies are turned into truth. 

Basically, citing is simple. As a student, you must have a shame that at every word you pick comes a great consequence. If one have that shame, he would be careful at least to credit the; for example, a book author from the quote he posted as status in his social account. One must learn to be independent so that one can come across greater bodies of mind. If one is independent, he will become a source himself, who doesn't rely into any forms of lie. He would create a piece of work that he studied to a great extent and purposely created for his target audiences in a very acceptable manner, then.
